WHY ROAR & TONIC?
We believe in living life to the brim and taking care of yourself in process. In all of us
there is the Roar (party animal) & the need for Tonic (looking after yourself). To get the most out of life we
have come up with a TONIC to help your body ROAR!
And we think we are on to something. We’ve extended the yoghurt fermentation process and
harnessed every bit of goodness to bring you a subtly sweet and fragrant Kombucha Yoghurt boasting all the benefits
of probiotic live cultures.
WHAT IS KOMBUCHA?
Kombucha is traditionally a fermented tea that has been consumed for thousands of years. It
is rich in beneficial probiotics.
ISN’T KOMBUCHA JUST A DRINK?
Kombucha is most popular as a tea based drink but can be found as capsules, Icy poles and now yoghurt!
WHAT IS ROAR & TONIC KOMBUCHA YOGHURT?
Roar & Tonic Kombucha Yoghurt is similar to a traditional yoghurt, however it is made
with different and more live cultures, fermented for a longer period of time and uses traditional Kombucha Flavours.
It may be bubbly (almost fizzy) due to the cultures used in the fermentation process.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ROAR & TONIC AND NORMAL YOGHURT?
There are a few main differences between our Kombucha Yoghurt and the regular stuff.
Firstly, the fermentation time is up to 24 hours, whilst regular yoghurts are fermented for
around 6 hours.
Secondly, the cultures used in the fermentation process are different. We also add jasmine extract, which is fermented in the process of making the Kombucha Yoghurt.
Thirdly, we’ve chosen Kombucha flavours, not your traditional yoghurt flavours for this range.
WHAT IS THE ROAR & TONIC KOMBUCHA YOGHURT MAKING PROCESS?
- Mix up the yoghurt base: real milk, cream, jasmine extract & live cultures
- Let it ferment
- Blend with some flavour sauces
- Let it keep bubbling away in the pack…
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF ROAR & TONIC KOMBUCHA YOGHURT?

IS THE PACKAGING RECYCLABLE?
The sleeve on the outside of the tub is recyclable once removed and we are working towards a solution that is fully recyclable.
We label the Australasian Recycling Logo (ARL) on our pack in order to remind you of how to dispose of your tub when you’ve finished it. This logo means that the label is conditionally recyclable – meaning that you need to remove it from the tub to recycle it. The tub and foil are not recyclable. For more information on the ARL, visit www.arl.org.au
As the tool we use to assess recyclability is based on at least 80% of the population having access to kerbside recycling facilities, please check with your local council to learn more. Alternatively, you can check at https://recyclingnearyou.com.au/
IS THE PRODUCT AUSTRALIAN MADE?
The products are made at our dairy in Perth, Western Australia. They are made with fresh WA milk and contain a minimum of 91% Australian ingredients across the range.
ARE THE PRODUCTS HALAL AND KOSHER?
No, they are not Halal and they are not Kosher suitable or certified.
WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH SUGAR IN ROAR & TONIC?
We use added sugars in each tub to make the product delicious!
We add sugar into the base mix and sauces for tastiness & texture. Any concentrated fruit used in the sauces is also considered added sugar.
There is also some sugar that occurs naturally in milk which the cultures feed on during the fermentation process.
WHY IS ROAR & TONIC KOMBUCHA YOGHURT FIZZY?
We describe this sensation as “bubbliness”. It is there because Roar & Tonic Kombucha Yoghurt is alive inside! This means that the live cultures continue to do their work inside the pack and therefore are fizzy.
If it isn’t bubbly, that’s ok too – it just means that the cultures have eaten as much as they could.
CAN I EAT ROAR & TONIC KOMBUCHA YOGHURT IF I AM PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING?
Naturally, it is best to consult your medical professional about your individual situation.
CAN CHILDREN EAT ROAR & TONIC KOMBUCHA YOGHURT?
Of course they can! However, please consult your medical professional for children less than 2 years of age.
DOES ROAR & TONIC KOMBUCHA YOGHURT CONTAIN GMO?
No, no, no.
HOW SHOULD I STORE MY KOMBUCHA YOGHURT
Please keep your Roar & Tonic Kombucha Yoghurt refrigerated.
HOW SOON AFTER OPENING SHOULD I EAT MY ROAR & TONIC KOMBUCHA YOGHURT?
Just dig straight in, we want you to enjoy it as soon as you open it. We don’t recommend that you store it once it has been opened.
HOW DO THE LIVE CULTURES STAY ALIVE IN ROAR & TONIC KOMBUCHA YOGHURT?
Different strains grow best in different conditions. We grow extra billions of cultures during the fermentation process so that there are still billions left at the end of shelf life.
